The Contract
Housesitting Agreement
I, XXXXXXX, agree to house/farm sit at XXXXXXXXX from 12 November 2009 to 31 January 2010 and complete the following tasks:
Stay on the property for the duration of the housesit – either in my own accommodation or the house provided.
I will keep clean and tidy the house and verandah area.
I will add chemicals as required and keep clean the above ground pool.
I will maintain the irrigation system (as long as the main (Buzz) dam holds enough water) in accordance with the instructions attached.
As and when necessary, I will mow the orchard with the ride-on mower and mow the house yard with the Rover petrol mower. Both these mowers use unleaded petrol (NOT two stroke).
If I desire, I will weed vegie garden beds and I have full use of the vegies produced or fruit from the orchard during my house sit.
When I leave the property boundaries for any reason I will lock all doors to house, cabin and large shed and lock the front gate with a keyed padlock.
I will feed and water the dog, ducks and chickens each day with feed provided. I will collect chicken and duck eggs daily. I will feed cattle 2 biscuits of peanut hay each morning in their feed bin and augment this with barley/molasses supplement.
I will regularly check the cattle for ticks and when necessary apply Cydectin Pour-on to them.
I will tie Buzz the dog up to his run around 4-5 pm each day and let him off around 9-10 am each day.
I will give Buzz his intestinal worm tablet on 1st December, 2009.
I will collect mail from the front letter box week days. I will collect mail weekly from the Childers Post Office Box XXX and the Bundaberg Post Office Box XXXX. A letter of authority for each mail address is attached for use if mail needs to be collected from post office staff.
I will email XXXXX (the owners)about any mail that needs their attention prior to coming home. For bills, the account type, the account number and BPAY number are needed in the email. Email contact will be twice a week (just to touch base).
I will contact via email XXXXX (the owners) with any maintenance problem that occurs if needed and will keep details of accounts and/or bills paid by me for settlement with XXXXX (the owners) on their return. Break downs or any maintenance required for their property at XXXXXXXXX is the financial responsibility of XXXXX (the owners) and their insurer.
I will lodge with XXXXX (the owners) a bond of $200 for excessive utilities expenses and this is fully refundable to me if there are none incurred.
These are the conditions of the housesit set by XXXXX and XXXXXXXX XXXXXX and agreed to by me.
